State Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Mesganu Arga, held a discussion with the Charge d’Affaires US Embassy Addis, Ambassador Tracy Ann Jacobson, on current developments. earlier today (22 March 2023).

The Charge d’Affaires reaffirmed to the State Minister, the statement will help to turn pages in the bilateral relations as it marks a transition to a new chapter of the historical relations.

She further stated the statement “will not have legal implications or any barrier on the bilateral relations of Ethiopia and the United States”. She also expressed the readiness of the US Government to support the #EHRC-#OHCHR Joint Investigation and Transitional Justice Policy.
