Ethiopian Wins the 2O18 African Lease Deal Award

Ethiopia Airlines has won the Aviation 100 “Africa Lease Deal of the Year 2018” award of Airline Economics Magazine, Ethiopian Airlines Group reported.

The Airlines received the award during the Airline Economic Growth Frontiers Dubai 2018 conference gala dinner, it was indicated.

The Aviation 100 awards recognize the aviation’s most outstanding performance, innovative and successful finance and leasing deals closed in the last 12 months.

The winners of the award are decided by an Industry-wide survey, rigorous voting process and editorial consideration.

“We are happy to receive this award from Airline Economics. It’s for the first time that the Japanese financing system, JOLCO, financed an aircraft deal with an African airline. JOLCO availed financing for our A350 aircraft,” EAL Group CEO Tewolde Gebremariam commented on the award.

He added that “the deal shows the strong confidence of reputed global financiers in Ethiopian balance sheet and business plan.”

EAL has also received Middle East and Africa Airline of the Year award in 2017 by Airline Economics, it was learned.

Ethiopian is a multi-award winning carrier crowned with Four Star certification by SKYTRAX last year, Airline of the Year awards by AFRAA as well as multiple accolades for its outstanding passenger and cargo transport services.

Name of Project: Procurement of 400,000 MT wheat grain or milling wheat for Ministry of Trade and Industry (Ethiopian Trading Business Corporation).

The Public Procurement and Property Disposal Service (PPPDS) on behalf of Ethiopian Trading Business Corporation have funds with the Procuring entity’s budget to be used for the Procurement of 400,000 MT milling wheat.
The PPPDS invites eligible Bidders for the supply of goods and services mentioned above.
Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the International Competitive Bid (ICB) procedures, contained in the Public Procurement and Property Administration Proclamation of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from PPPDS and inspect the bidding document at the address given below at 7(a) from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm until bid closing date.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders at the address given below at 7(a) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (two Hundred Birr) or equivalent amount in easily convertible hard currency. The method of payment will be in cash.
Bid must be delivered to the Address below at 7(b) on or before 31^st January 2019 at 10:0 0 am.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security amount valued at 100,000 birror equivalent amount for each lot in the form of CPO or an unconditional Bank counter guarantee from domestic Commercial Banks. The bid security should be in the name of Public Procurement and Property Disposal Service. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the event at the address below at 7(b) at 10: 15 am on 31^st January 2019.
